Old Frame First Routine
Chen Huixian born in Chen Village, the only “in-chamber” disciple of her uncle Grandmaster Chen Zhenglei living in the US. Her upbringing in the martial tradition combined with her degree in Physical Education and many years experience teaching enable her to transmit her family's art at an unequaled level. This is an event you will not want to miss.
Friday night Push Hands at Iron Pagoda
We will go over foundational skill development drills from Chen Family Taijiquan Push Hands drills 1 to 5 if we have time. We will have time to practice and gain skills in these drills and some time for questions. Limited space available save your spot today. If you have done some push hands or sensing hands and are interested how Chen Style Taijiquan teaches this is your chance.
Saturday and Sunday Old Frame First Routine
Old Frame First Routine is one of the first serious commitments all students of Chen Taijiquan commit to. Once the form is learned students practice for years to express very detailed and unique expressions of Taiji principles in each move. Master Chen will go over each movement and help each participant to improve their individual level of skill with this form.
This is the traditional method of training Taijiquan in Chenjiagou (the Chen Village). It is a very slow and methodical, yet intense process that helps students to refine the individual details of each posture.
- There will be a 2-hour lunch break from 12:00pm – 2:00pm
